On 30th September 2026, Viktor performed as a live caricaturist on board a private yacht moored in the Vieux-Port of Cannes, during a corporate evening event. His medium for the occasion: small wooden coasters, each one bearing a hand-drawn portrait of a guest.

Caricature Portraits on Wooden Coasters

The brief called for something guests could take home — compact, personal and immediately usable. Viktor drew head portraits in caricature style directly onto round wooden coasters, working at pace throughout the event to ensure as many guests as possible received their own piece.

Each portrait captured the guest’s likeness with the expressive exaggeration that defines Viktor’s live caricature work — quick enough to maintain flow at the event, detailed enough to be genuinely flattering as a souvenir. The wooden surface gave each piece a tactile, original quality that a printed or digital format cannot replicate.

Live Art on the Water

Working on a yacht in a working port presents its own constraints — limited space, ambient movement, guests circulating in a confined area. Viktor adapted his setup accordingly, working at a compact station while remaining accessible to guests throughout the evening.

The Vieux-Port of Cannes at night provided a natural backdrop: masts, harbour lights and the open sea visible from the deck. The combination of setting and live portraiture made the caricature station one of the focal points of the event.

Caricature as Corporate Event Entertainment

A live caricaturist works differently from most event entertainment. There is no stage, no set piece, no scheduled moment — the performance is continuous and guest-driven. Each portrait takes a few minutes, draws a small crowd, and produces an immediate reaction. Guests who watch others being drawn inevitably want their own.

For corporate events, this format has a specific advantage: it breaks the ice. A caricature is a conversation piece that guests carry with them through the rest of the evening, show to colleagues and take home at the end of the night.

Viktor offers live caricature performances on paper, iPad and unconventional supports — wooden coasters, canvas, branded materials — depending on the event brief. The technique and format are always adapted to what works best for the context. Discover Viktor’s full range of live art performances for events or contact Viktor directly to discuss your event.
